What do you get when you combine Nickelodeon, an A-list Kids’ Choice Awards orange carpet and green slime? Um, a whole lot of fun, that’s what!

Katy Perry

On March 27 at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion, comedian and actor Kevin James was the host of the star-studded event.

Although a few celebrities were absent such as Miley Cyrus, that's ok because the celebs who were in the house were sparkling brighter than ever. Justin Bieber didn't win an award however he was clearly a fan favorite as he sang his hit to his screaming, adoring fans, Baby. He told MTV News, "It feels great. I'm just happy to be here, happy to have so many supportive fans."

And for thirteen year-old fan, Megan Call from Gilford, Connecticut, it was a spectacular night! Megan won an All Access Sweepstakes with Justin Bieber contest and beat out over 500,000 contestants! Megan was able to meet the entertainer, attend pre-show rehearsals and walk with him on the carpet.

Among other highlights, Bieber performed alongside Miranda Cosgrove and Rihanna. Tons of celebs were slimed such as Olympian speed skater Apolo Ohno as he was immersed in green slime with help from the WWE's John Cena. There was no shortage of slime on Katy Perry, Tina Fey and Steve Carell.

As for the winners, although the President and First Lady of the United States were nominated in the category of best couple, they lost out to Jacob and Bella from Twilight which is ironic! Bella's true love interest is Edward, played by Robert Pattinson, but it looks like kids across the country think that Jacob and Bella make a better couple.

Edward and Bella were also nominated in the same category and lost!

First Lady Michelle Obama did win an award, however as she took home the Big Help Award for her work with kids nutrition.

Taylor Swift took home two awards and the Black Eyed Peas and Jay-Z won their very own Kids Choice Awards.

SpongeBob's made-for-Twitter adventure

Nickelodeon's hit animated show, SpongeBob SquarePants, will hit Twitter with a vengeance for the first-time debut of The Ice Race Cometh: A Twitter Tale. This original story was created exclusively for the social networking site and will debut from July 12-15th. The story will be told in a special way, in order to keep interest peaking until the climax of the tale, as a Nickelodeon special.

Move over Charlie Sheen! It's the Twitter takeover everyone will be talking about! The hit Nickelodeon children's animated series, SpongeBob SquarePants, will take over the Twitter-verse from July 12-15 as the show breaks new ground with an exclusive made-for-Twitter adventure.

The Ice Race Cometh: A Twitter Tale was conceived and developed for Twitter by the SpongeBob SquarePants writing team and will run from Tuesday, July 12 to Friday, July 15th.

The story will be told via multiple tweets and images throughout each day to set scenes and advance the action involving SpongeBob and his friends, as they prepare for the Bikini Bottom Great Sleigh Race. The Ice Race Cometh is a prequel to Frozen Face Off, the brand new primetime SpongeBob episode premiering on Friday, July 15th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Said Roland Poindexter, senior vice president of Nickelodeon animation, "SpongeBob's fan base is so broad that about a third of its audience is adults, so we wanted to extend the show's magic to new places like Twitter so those fans can experience it. SpongeBob is already a big deal in the social media space, with 25 million Facebook fans, and we hope his Twitter debut will drum up some extra excitement for all the people who love him and the show."

By the way, SpongeBob's 25 million Facebook followers have him way ahead of the Beatles and President Obama.

In the primetime special, Frozen Face Off, Bikini Bottom is buzzing with excitement as the town prepares for a sleigh race sponsored by an anonymous donor. But the gang's dreams of winning the $1 million prize come to a halt when they discover Plankton's scheme to steal the Krabby Patty formula during the race. SpongeBob and his friends must work together to navigate through the icy tundra and past a menacing snow mollusk before Plankton gets his hands on Mr. Krabs' secret formula.

Since its launch in July 1999, SpongeBob has emerged as a pop culture phenomenon. The series has been the number one animated program with kids ages two to 11 for more than 10 consecutive years and over the past several years, has averaged more than 100 million total viewers every quarter across all Nickelodeon networks. It is syndicated in 171 markets in 36 languages and is the most widely distributed property in MTV networks' history.

Isabelle Fuhrman plays Clove, the tribute we all loved to hate in The Hunger Games. At Saturday's Kids' Choice Awards, the adorable actress didn't resemble her angry character at all! We got the scoop on how to recreate her cute look with these makeup tips.

Makeup artist: Celebrity makeup artist Stephen Sollitto for NYX Cosmetics

Inspiration:“I wanted her to look beautiful with an element of playfulness. NYX Cosmetics was the perfect brand to accomplish this,” Sollitto says. To complement Isabelle's Jason Wu floral ensemble and her Blue Nile Jewelry, he gave the actress bold eyes and neutral lips to reveal her natural, youthful beauty.

The 2013 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards were full of surprises — and even more slime! We've picked out our favorite moments from this year's show. What were yours?

2013 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards1. Pitbull gets slimed while Christina Aguilera shows off her weight loss

Pitbull and Christina Aguilera started off the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards with a duet of their new song, "Feel This Moment." Aguilera showed off her pipes during the song, but Pitbull ended up getting slimed.

2. Ke$ha gives an amazing performance

Ke$ha donned a crazy, colorful outfit to perform "C'mon" and "We R Who We R" at the 2013 KCAs. The best part? Her bearded backup dancers.

"Kids' Choice is always one of the most fun awards shows of the year," she said before the show. "I can't wait to come out and party with all of my animals!!!"

And party she did.

3. Sandra Bullock gets slimed

Sandra Bullock was very worried about getting slimed while presenting at the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards since she's been dumped on in the past. Co-presenter Neil Patrick Harris promised to save her from the green goo, but his magic wand ended up getting them slimed. There's always next year, Sandra!

4. Danica Patrick wins Favorite Female Athlete

We love all the talented women in the Favorite Female Athlete category, but we were pumped when NASCAR racer Danica Patrick won the award. Girl power!

Danica Patrick talks about dominating in a "man's" sport >>

5. Josh Duhamel and Nick Cannon go sumo — and get slimed!

Host Josh Duhamel spent the entire show sliming everyone from Pitbull to basketball pro Dwight Howard to the audience. We got the last laugh, though, when a sumo suit–clad Duhamel and show correspondent Nick Cannon got slimed after presenting Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson with his Favorite Male Buttkicker award. Karma stinks, Josh!

New Iron Man 3 promo debuted at Kids' Choice Awards

A new promo for the upcoming Iron Man 3 premiered this weekend at the Kids' Choice Awards. It's so good!

Iron Man 3 promo

If you're over the age of 12 and don't have any youngsters in your house, chances are you missed out on the weekend's big award show: The Kids' Choice Awards on Nickelodeon. If so, that means you also missed out on the brand-new promo for the next Iron Man movie. Don't worry, Robert Downey Jr. fans! We've got it right here!

The trailer starts with a brilliant reminder of just why we love Iron Man and Tony Stark so much. We all love a man with confidence, right? Tony Stark has it in excess and displays it in the leading quote during the promo.

Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark Work get 3D twists>>

"You know, it's moments like these when I realize what a superhero I am," he says as the Iron Man suit flies onto his body and begins to activate.

During the Super Bowl, we saw another awesome promo that featured an angry and desperate Iron Man going up against his strongest enemy yet. It was much darker than this latest sneak peek. Still, this one still promises plenty of action.

In the newest Iron Man installment, we'll see the genius Tony Stark strive against an enemy that knows no bounds and seems to lack any sort of weakness. That enemy will stop at nothing to destroy Stark's life and, when he succeeds, Iron Man sets off on a quest to find those responsible and settle the score.

During this fight, it'll take more than just a fancy suit, a skyscraper, and boatloads of money to win back his life and make his latest enemy tap out. He'll have to rely on his full capabilities as a superhero and a human.

A deeper look at what's in store for Iron Man 3>>

The outcome of his latest battle will not only restore his world, but also answer a question that seems to constantly plague him: Does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Kids and adults alike are feeling excited about Nickelodeon's 27th Annual Kids' Choice Awards, which will take place at the USC's Galen Center in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, March 29. And there are plenty of reasons to get enthusiastic about this year.

The latest excitement comes with the announcement that tough guy Mark Wahlberg will become a part of the annual slimefest!

The ultimate kids' experience will honor the very best across the worlds of film, television, music and more, and the Transformers star will be there to head it all up and add even more humor to the night.

"We are thrilled to welcome a superstar like Mark Wahlberg as he takes the helm as our master of ceremonies at the biggest kid event of the year," said Russell Hicks, Nickelodeon's president of content development and production.

"We can't wait for him to host and have lots of slime-filled fun with Hollywood's biggest stars and our audience."

Hicks is certainly not going to be the only person thrilled that the actor will be a part of one of the most exciting awards shows this year. The thought of seeing Wahlberg survive the slime is enough reason to tune in to the show, don't you think?

And there's more good news for Nickelodeon fans — they can become a part of the action in a new and exciting way this year by voting for their favorites online at Nick.com.

Nominations will be announced in the coming weeks.
